Restaurants fear spies with Google glasses

THE new Google Glass could spell trouble for cafe and restaurant owners.

The privacy of restaurant patrons could be invaded if users decide to use them surreptitiously for recording video and taking pictures.

The new product is a head-mounted display device similar to a pair of spectacles that works through voice and touch controls.

A GYM boss was fighting for his life today after he was shot four times in Dublin.

Gardai have launched a major investigation after well-known hardman Sean Enright was targeted while at his Finglas gym.

He was shot in the back, the stomach and the legs.

The father-of-three was rushed to the Mater Hospital shortly after 11am where his condition was described as “serious but stable”.

Enright, who owns the Universal Warrior Gym in Finglas, had been warned several times in the past that that his life was under threat.

Henry Healy was delighted yesterday when an envelope arrived from the White House. Inside was a signed picture of Healy and his sister Avril along with Barack and Michelle Obama.

LEINSTER rugby mascot Leo the Lion will soon have a new girlfriend to cuddle up to. A competition to find a new mate for Leo has been won by Leona the Lioness.

Almost 6,000 votes were cast online for the final 10 candidates with Rebecca Cavaliere’s drawing of Leona the Lioness picked as the winning entry to be made into a larger-than-life team mascot.
